The 19 Sub-Parvas of Adi Parva: A Summary

Note:
I refer to a sub parva name of Adi Parva as Kashidas does not separate his work into sub-parvas. I thought of sharing a summary/ brief of which sub-parva contains what.

The nineteen sub-parvas of the Adi Parva from the Mahabharata. The artwork is arranged as a grid of nineteen numbered panels, each containing a folk-style painted scene with a short description underneath. Scenes include Ugrashrava Sauti narrating at Naimisharanya, Aruni blocking a breached field embankment, Garuda carrying amrita, Shakuntala with Bharata, the burning lacquer house, Bhima fighting Hidimba and Bakasura, Draupadi’s swayamvara, the marriage of Draupadi to the Pandavas, Arjuna abducting Subhadra, and the burning of the Khandava forest.

Sub-Parva What It Contains Important Story Titles / Episodes

As I had stated earlier, the Mahabharata of Kashidas does not talk about Ganesha acting as the scribe. This is not there in the Mahabharata of Bibek Debroy, but the version translated by KMG has this. The version of Mahabharata published by Gita Press, also contains this.
